This event is designed to bring together evaluators of all experience levels – from students to seasoned professionals – in a shared space of learning, collaboration, and growth. Inspired by the interconnectedness of a forest, where diverse elements support one another in a thriving evaluation ecosystem, we aim to create a conference environment where our network can flourish together.

Understanding and Applying Quantitative Research - (In Person)

Participants will learn the definition and use of quantitative research methods, the roles this approach can play in evaluation, and how to identify the correct application of quantitative research methods for projects. Participants will have the opportunity to work through examples.

Understanding and Applying Mixed Methodologies and Designs - (In Person)

Event Date: 2025-04-25 CES Manitoba Deadline: 2025-04-24

Participants will learn the uses of both quantitative and qualitative approaches, the role this dual approach plays in evaluation design, and when and how these two approaches can be most helpful to gathering useful information towards identifying impact. Participants will have the opportunity to work through examples.

Surveys and Questionnaires - (In Person)

Event Date: 2025-05-28 CES Manitoba Deadline: 2025-05-27

Participants will gain a basic understanding of both surveys and questionnaires, how to develop strong survey and questionnaire questions, and how to analyze results to help best inform on the work being done. Participants will have the opportunity to work through examples.

Data Visualization - (Virtual)

Event Date: 2025-06-12 CES Manitoba Deadline: 2025-06-11

Data visualization allows us to tell compelling stories with data – to show patterns and trends that we might not notice otherwise. The goal of this workshop is to provide attendees with information, skills, and techniques to glean insights from their data and to communicate them in simplified ways. There will be a mix of lessons, hands-on activities, and time for discussion.
