The intent is not to teach you how to do evaluation, but rather how to better use evaluation in your day-to-day decision making and organization overall.

Course on Research Ethics

This FREE online Course on Research Ethics (CORE) by the Tripartite Panel on Research Ethics is an introduction to the second edition of the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2). It consists of eight modules focusing on the guidance in TCPS 2 that is applicable to all research regardless of discipline or methodology. You will be required to register and log in.

Integrating Human Rights and Gender Equality in Evaluations

This e-learning course was developed in partnership by UN Women and OHCHR, in collaboration with UNEG and EvalPartners. Based on the UNEG Guidance on “Integrating Human Rights and Gender Equality in Evaluations”, this e-learning course offers an overview of evaluation practice in various contexts, and features concrete guidance, tips and insights from experienced practitioners.

Designing & Implementing Monitoring & Evaluation Systems

This FREE course series by the Aga Khan Development Foundation offered through Alison.com offers an introduction to Monitoring & Evaluation, Results-Based Management and key concepts (eg. logic-model, theory of change).

Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+)

This FREE online Course by Status of Women Canada, Introduction to Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA+), will provide you with essential information on GBA+ and its related concepts. You will gain the knowledge and tools you need to enhance your work by applying GBA+ to Government of Canada initiatives. GBA+ represents a key competency in support of the development of effective programs and policies for Canadians.

Introduction to Evaluating Humanitarian Action

This course was developed in partnership by UNICEF and the Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action (ALNAP), in collaboration with EvalPartners and UN Evaluation Group. Based on the ALNAP Pilot Guide on "Evaluating Humanitarian Action", this e-learning is the first of its kind. It offers an overview of evaluation practice in humanitarian contexts, and features concrete guidance, tips and insights from experienced practitioners.

Equity-Focussed and Gender-Responsive Evaluations

This e-Learning programme developed by UNICEF and the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE) addresses the opportunities and challenges, as well as the methodological implications, of evaluating the effects of policies, programmes, and projects designed to enhance equitable development results. A special focus is directed toward effects on the most excluded, marginalized, and deprived groups. 

Advocating for Evaluation

This e-Learning programme was developed by UNICEF and the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE). By the end of this course, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of Advocating for Evaluation concepts and practices. The course is composed of 8 units. Participants are required to complete all units and accompanying tests to be able to print out the certificate.

Emerging Practices in Development Evaluations

This e-Learning programme developed by UNICEF and the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE) addresses emerging practices in Development Evaluation. Topics are focused on policy results, policy influence networks and partnerships capacity development, and innovation organizational performance.
