Students and Emerging Evaluators: Get Involved

Are you new to the profession, with fewer than five years of experience? Or are you a current student, recent graduate or professional in another field who is interested in evaluation as a potential career?

These resources from CES and outside sources will help you navigate your career path in evaluation.

  • Student & Emerging Evaluator Network (SEEN): SEEN helps students and emerging evaluators develop their skills and careers, and establish links in the field through online resources, networking events and more. We also contribute to the wider CES through student and emerging evaluator representation on the CES Board, committees, working groups and Chapter councils. Want to get involved? Read the newsletter archives and make sure to sign up for future communications on your member profile to get the periodic updates and opportunities to participate.
  • CES National Conference: The National Conference – May 5-8 in Fredericton, NB – serves as a hub for knowledge exchange, networking, and professional growth within the field of evaluation. As a student or emerging evaluator, attending this gathering can provide you with invaluable insights, exposure to cutting-edge methodologies, and connections with seasoned professionals.
  • Mentoring Initiative: The Mentoring Initiative is open to all CES members who are eager to invest their time and energy in a mutually beneficial partnership. It is free and easy to join. As a mentees, you can benefit from evaluation-related support, advice and guidance they need to advance, and mentors gain a sense of fulfillment and personal enrichment by sharing their expertise with future of evaluation professionals.
