In 2024, the CES released its renewed Commitment to Advancing Reconciliation and Indigenous Sovereignty, which reflects the significance and ongoing growth of the Society to uphold truth, reconciliation, and the rights of Indigenous Peoples through the field of evaluation. 

Join this orientation storytelling session to learn about the history of CES’s journey from speaker Larry Bremner (Métis, CE FCES, and former CES President) and the collaborations and partnerships established with:

Attendees will also be invited to share about their learning and participation in events during September for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation at the opening of this session.

The session will close with highlights of the CES Commitment to Advancing Reconciliation and Indigenous Sovereignty by CES President, Matthew Sanscartier, and CES Past President, Andrealisa Belzer, to encourage CES members to reflect on this statement and the opportunities to advance this work personally, professionally, and through the CES.
