Speaker’s Bio

Emily Brennan

Co-chair (Ottawa) and Director, Chair of SEEK Committee (Ottawa)

Emily is currently a Senior Evaluation Manager at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and is a Credentialed Evaluator. Prior to joining the federal government, she worked as a consultant at PRA Inc, managing and contributing to evaluations for a wide variety of clients, including government departments and non-profit organizations. In addition to her work with CESEF, she recently wrapped up a six-year term on the Board of Directors for the CES National Capital Chapter. Outside of evaluation, Emily enjoys knitting, baking and spending time with her husband and their cat.

Holly Zapreff

Student and Emerging Evaluator Representative

Holly Zapreff is a student at York University where she is pursuing a Masters in Public Policy, Administration and Law. She has worked in various roles within the not-for-profit sector for 18 years, including in a consultancy capacity. She is passionate about viewing evaluation from a strength-based lens in order to support impactful policies and programs which foster empowerment for the most vulnerable communities.
