Did you ever want to give back to our profession and help build for the future? The CES- CESEF Student Case Competition is a well established, high level, pressure packed, and challenging learning experience for post secondary students with an interest in program evaluation. On February 7th, 16 student teams participated from across Canada and had 5.5 hours to prepare their response to a request for proposal. The final 3 teams are invited to compete at the CES National Conference on Monday, May 25 before a live audience in Edmonton, Alberta.
This competition is made possible through the generosity of our evaluation community. Donations help cover approximately 50% of the costs for our 3 finalist teams to attend the conference, including travel, accommodation, food, registration, and a CES membership. Your support helps create an opportunity for students to learn, connect, and be part of the profession in a very real way.
The search for donations is a challenge every year. In addition to partners at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels, the Friends of the Student Case Competition offers an opportunity for individuals and smaller organizations to show their support for the students. At $25 to $99, Friends is a low cost entry point to supporting the best of our aspiring future evaluators and it comes with a CESEF charitable tax receipt.
