Discover the Future of Evaluation: C2026 Program Now Live!

The Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) is thrilled to announce that the detailed program for the 2026 National Conference is now available! Join us from May 24 to May 27 at the Westin Edmonton as we explore our timely theme: "Impactful evaluation in a complex world."

As we navigate an era of rapid change, our program is structured around three critical sub-themes designed to address modern challenges:

Comprehensive evaluations: explore strategies to build more comprehensive evaluations, which effectively cover all relevant – but often ignored – considerations and impacts on both human and natural systems, Indigenous sovereignty, and policy commitments to inclusiveness, equity, and the environment.

Restatement of the importance of evidence: reaffirm our commitment to the concept of “evidence”, which is at the core of all evaluations, but whose nature, scope, and validity appear more volatile than ever as a result of technological and world-view pressures.

Updated, redesigned, and transformed toolkit: sort through our current toolkit as evaluators, figuring out what to keep, what to reinvent, and what to set aside, so that individually and collectively.

From over 170 sessions to expert-led sessions, this agenda is built to sharpen your practice for a complex future. Don’t miss your chance to connect with practitioners from across Canada.

Early-bird registration opens March 7.
