Call for CES President Nominations Due February 25

The CES Board of Directors is excited to call for nominations for CES President!

All CES members in good standing are encouraged to self-nominate for the role, especially members:

  • holding experience in a CES volunteer leadership position,
  • who have a strong interest in implementing the Society’s vision and strategic priorities, and
  • are strongly motivated to work collaboratively with national Board members, Chapter leadership, and current and potential evaluation organizational partners.

Read the President Terms of Reference for more information about the position.

In accordance with G-3: Election of Officers policy, the President holds a two-year term and is elected by members of the Society. Following this two year term, the President is expected to de-facto serve in the non-voting role of Past President for a two year period under a new President.

Nominees will provide a photo, a resume, and a personal statement outlining why they are interested in standing for office. These statements will be shared publicly for members to review for a period of 4-weeks following the nomination period. If there is only one member standing for election, they will be acclaimed following the review period. The 2026-2028 President term will begin on July 1, 2026.

All self-nominations are to be submitted by email to nominations@evaluationcanada.ca by February 25, 2026, midnight PT.

If more than one nomination is received, candidates will be asked to participate in virtual question and answer sessions with members during the nomination review period.

The Board appreciates all members interested in joining the national leadership of the Society and looks forward to reviewing nominations for the role of CES President.
