ICCI panel: Strengthening Ethical AI Use in Independent Consulting

Strengthening Ethical AI Use in Independent Consulting: Considerations for a Professional Values-Driven Approach
Thursday, January 15 | 12-1:30pm ET

As generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) transforms the way consultants work, independent evaluators face new opportunities alongside new ethical responsibilities.

This online panel will equip participants with ethical considerations and approaches for using AI when working with different clients, communities, and contexts. Drawing on the three core professional values of the Canadian Evaluation Society as a framing lens, the panellists will examine how independent consultants can make thoughtful, transparent, and responsible decisions about integrating AI tools into their proposals, evaluation designs, data analyses, reporting, and client engagements.

Participants will leave with concrete ideas for values-aligned, AI-enhanced approaches that promote using emerging technologies to support rather than compromise ethical practice in independent consulting.
