The requirements for organising face-to-face and virtual conferences are different. So much so that, in the context of its 2025 virtual conference, the CES is able to make an unusual offer to proposal coauthors who have an important message for delegates, and wish to co-present a session without registering for the conference. We will be happy to include unregistered coauthors of C2025 proposals and presentations as unregistered guest presenters, for no fee – as long as at least one of the session’s presenters is a registered delegate. The unregistered guest presenters will solely have access to the session in which they are presenting – not to the broader conference.
Due to some of the technical constraints under which we operate, unregistered copresenters will not be named on the conference app (PheedLoop) but they will be fully recognised in the pdf version of the conference program, as is customary for coauthors who do not attend the conference. This new feature of CES virtual conferences is designed to facilitate broader inclusion of perspectives and expertise that will enrich presentations. It is now up to proposal writers to prepare their proposals with this opportunity in mind.
Remember: the deadline for proposals to C2025 is December 2, 2025 and, as usual, there will be no extension!
