Back to school greetings from CESEF!

Happy Fall! The Canadian Evaluation Society Educational Fund (CESEF) wishes all those returning to classes a wonderful back to school season! CESEF offers programming for evaluators, including students. Our main programs for students are:

Student Case Competition. The student evaluation case competition is a bilingual annual Canadian competition that helps post-secondary students build and showcase their program evaluation skills. With real-world programs and cases, students work in teams of 3-5 to respond to a request for proposal over a limited time period. The top 3 teams are invited and funded to attend the annual CES conference and receive a one-year CES membership!

Graduate Scholarships. The Graduate Scholarship Program seeks to support the development of theory and practice of program evaluation by facilitating access to education and training to those working in or wishing to work in the field of program evaluation. The call for applications will open in October and will remain open until mid-December. This year we are offering 2 scholarships valued at $5000 each.

SEEK award. The Student and Emerging Evaluator advancing Knowledge (SEEK) award is intended to recognize exemplary and diverse contributions to the advancement of evaluation theory and/or practice. Candidates are asked to prepare a paper of up to 3,000 words on a subject of importance to evaluation. The deadline for submission for consideration for the next competition is in February. The winner will receive a case prize and support to attend the CES national conference to present their work.

Good luck!
