Canadian Evaluation Society Welcomes Birgitta Larsson to the Fellowship

It is with great pleasure that we announce Birgitta Larsson, CE, has been selected to receive the Canadian Evaluation Society Fellowship, our highest honor recognizing exceptional contributions to the evaluation field.

As an unwavering advocate for values-based guidance in evaluation ethics, Birgitta has significantly shaped the CES Ethical Guidance and Core Professional Values. Her influence extends beyond policy development to practical implementation, helping evaluators integrate ethical considerations throughout their practice.

Those who have worked alongside Birgitta speak glowingly of her thoughtfulness, wisdom, generosity, and deep commitment to building an evaluation community founded on respect and ethical integrity. Her exceptional ability to apply critical thinking skills has inspired countless evaluators to ask deeper questions and pursue more reflective practice.

Birgitta's dedication to evaluation capacity building is evident in her work as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta, her development of ethics training programs, her service on the CES Credentialing Board, and her contributions to numerous CES committees, including the Core Competency Review Committee and the Ethics Guidance Working Group.
