Prominent Canadian evaluation leaders have jointly nominated Frédéric Bertrand, CE, for the prestigious 2026 Service to CES Award, honoring over a decade of extraordinary leadership, volunteerism, and dedication to the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES).

Frédéric's impactful contributions span multiple key CES bodies and initiatives:

  • CES National Conference: Served 12 years on the Partnership and Exhibition Committee (Chair for 5 terms), spearheading innovative outreach and creating sustainable revenue streams.
  • CES-CESEF Student Case Competition: Dedicated 11 years as a judge and fundraiser, mentoring emerging evaluators and securing critical financial support.
  • CES Credentialling Board: Reviewed some 50 CE applications across 8 years, modernizing credentialing processes and tools.
  • Educational & Academic Leadership: Contributed to the CESEF Educational Assistance Awards Review Committee and served 6 years as a peer reviewer for the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation.
