The Spring issue of the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation (CJPE) is now available, marking a significant milestone as the journal celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Since its founding in 1986, CJPE has served as a forum for dialogue, debate, and the advancement of evaluation theory and practice in Canada and beyond.
This issue also launches a new chapter for the journal. Following its transition to a new open-access publishing platform hosted by the University of Victoria Libraries and Open Journal Systems, CJPE continues to provide free access for readers and no article processing charges for authors. Authors now retain copyright under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 licence.
The Spring issue features articles, research and practice notes spanning diverse evaluation contexts, as well as book reviews and a timely special section on AI, post- truth, and populism. Together, these contributions examine the evolving role of evaluation in a period of profound social, political, and institutional change.
As CJPE enters its fifth decade, we invite the evaluation community to read, reflect, and join the conversation. We welcome your submissions as well as proposals to lead future thematic sections on emerging issues in evaluation.
