Effective July 2, the CES has adjusted its membership fees across all categories. This update is essential to ensure the society's financial health and long-term sustainability.
The decision follows a comprehensive analysis showing that regular membership fees have remained unchanged at $195 since July 2014. Over the past twelve years, the Consumer Price Index has increased by 32%, reducing the real value of that baseline fee; this is clearly illustrated by steadily increasing operational costs. Simultaneously, CES has recently experienced a sharp decline in professional development net revenues and net positive revenues from conferences have become quite challenging to produce. An adjustment became vital to avoid delaying key structural development projects delivering value to members.
Under the new structure, individual member rates are adjusted to $245, while fees for full-time students, new practitioners, members older than 60, non-profit members, and Global South residents are adjusted to $125. To maintain alignment with economic realities moving forward, CES will conduct reviews every three years.
