The Canadian Evaluation Society is looking for representatives at EvalSDGs and at the Réseau francophone des évaluateurs émergents (RF-Ee). The responsibility of the representative is to get involved with the organization, to contribute to the achievement of its objectives, to be the voice of the CES, and to inform the CES Board of Directors and the CES membership about achievements and about ways in which they can best support the organizations.
EVALSDGs is a network of interested and skilled policy makers, institutions and practitioners who advocate for the evaluability of the performance indicators of the sustainable development goals and support processes to integrate evaluation into national and global review systems. Information about recent EvalSDGs activities is found in the most recent representative report.
Many recent discussions within evaluation associations underscore the importance of focusing on emerging evaluators and putting in place initiatives and strategies that promote knowledge exchange and accelerate career progression and quality practice of these emerging evaluators. Who are they? The RF-Ee targets students, young graduates in evaluation as well as young professionals with less than 3 years of experience in evaluation. It supports their development by offering adapted activities; it offers a space to facilitate exchanges; it promotes the issue of emerging evaluators within the Francophone evaluator community.
To express your interest in becoming the CES representative at EvalSDGs or at the RF-Ee, please send a short statement to the CES past president at [email protected] and the Executive Director at [email protected] by March 5, 2017. Please indicate why you are interested and how your training and experiences prepare you for this role.
