The Canadian Evaluation Society President and Executive Director were in Washington last month and took time on the margins of the American Evaluation Association conference to meet with the Embassy of Canada’s Office of Liaison with the International Financial Institutions (part of the Trade Commissioner’s Service, Global Affairs Canada), and the Executive Director’s Offices of the World Bank Group and Inter-American Development Bank Group to discuss trends in Canadian evaluation and suppliers of international evaluation expertise, and to promote our upcoming 2018 Conference.  Executives from a few larger evaluation firms Baastel, Goss-Gilroy, Malatest and Universalia and a representative from the CJPE (Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation) were invited to join the conversation on ways to increase Canadian bids and opportunities for collaboration.
