2017
Join evaluators coast-to-coast for an informal coffee-chat on topics and interest to you and others! Bring a burning question, a current challenge, a lesson, or a good joke to share.
- CES Members are invited to lead, listen or lurk.
- Using CES' ZoomPro account, sessions will be self-moderated.
- Topics will be impromptu and led by participants.
-
The first people to log on will:
- invite a call-out of topics to be put on the table; remind people to keep microphones on mute unless speaking, to avoid extra noise
- ensure a process-keeper is named, with the task of making sure everyone has a chance to engage, if they wish.
- name a timekeeper to announce the mid-point and 1 hour mark (people are welcome to stay on longer).
- Participants are asked to check-in if your comments are extending over a few minutes. Virtual formats can sometimes be awkward, remember that silence does not always mean disinterest nor consent. Leave a bit of time for reflection.
- On occasion, the process and time keepers can respectfully ensure that any long-speakers wrap up so that everyone has time to speak. The group will be self-moderated so rules can be flexible, time and interest allowing, for longer presentations or descriptive items. Be mindful if sensitive or passionate topics come up which may require a bit more time to process.
- Sessions will NOT be recorded, unless by consensus of participants.
- If more than 15 people show up, breakout rooms and additional dates can be scheduled with specific topics.
Held on the last Friday of every month between September and December, 2017.
This will be for CES Members at this time: of course CES is willing to reconsider this according to the will of the group. Please keep in mind that volunteer effort and CES resources are valuable!
