2017
The lead article in the July/August 2017 of the Canadian Government Executive Magazine (Vol. 23 Issue 5) is by CES New Brunswick member, Jamie Gamble, Principal of Imprint Consulting. Jamie offers a very compelling essay on developmental evaluation entitled Confronting the Wicked: Using Evaluation to Boost Innovation. As the GGE editor notes, "Jamie makes the argument that evaluation should not be seen as an impediment to innovation – quite the contrary. For Jamie, constant evaluation is the sine qua non of innovation, the very mother of new approaches in (re)designing programs." The editor also concludes that articles published under the banner of Program Evaluation reflect, "the reality that we are now living is a new dawn of serious thinking in program evaluation". Bravo Jamie! If you would like further information about submitting an article to CGEM, contact Wayne MacDonald from our National Capital Chapter at [email protected].
