2017
The International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE) has held its annual general meeting on May 23, 2017. A recording of the meeting is available online as well as a PowerPoint presentation supporting the presidential report. The meeting was an opportunity for 39 representatives of voluntary organizations for professional evaluation (VOPEs) from around the world to hear reports on the state of this important organization, its key results for 2016, and its stimulating projects for 2017. The CES is closely involved in the IOCE through holding the treasurer seat at the Board of Trustees, the co-chair of the committee on evaluation professionalization, and the co-chair of the committee on the VOPE Toolkit.
The IOCE mission is to increase public awareness and to globally validate evaluation, as well as to support VOPEs in contributing to good governance, effective decision making and strengthening the role of civil society. Its mandate is to contribute to building evaluation leadership and capacity, especially in developing countries; to advance the exchange of evaluation theory and practice worldwide; to address international challenges in evaluation; and to assist the evaluation profession to take a more global approach to contributing to the identification and solution of world problems.
