At the recent CES Conference in Montreal, prizes were awarded in two poster competitions.
1. Juried Competition Prize
A jury composed of Shannon Clark-Larkin (Evaluation Manager, SSHRC), Nathalie Dubois (Researcher, Département de santé publique de Montréal et l’École nationale d’administration publique), and Denise Belanger (Senior Research Associate, Proactive Information Services) awarded the Juried Competition Prize to the poster: “Patient partnership approach to diabetes care in Eeyou Istchee: Identifying barriers and facilitators”, by Elena Kuzmina, Catherine Godin, Paul Linton and Marie-Pascale Pomey.
The $500 prize, donated by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, was presented to Elena Kuzmina of the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay, by Shannon-Clark Larkin.
2. People’s Choice Poster Award
Based on tabulation of paper and electronic votes, the People’s Choice Poster Award was given to the poster: “Determining the best options for providing gluten-free meals for patients: Lessons from a cost-analysis in a Lebanese Hospital”, by Nour Hammami, graduate student at the University of Waterloo.
The $500 Prize, donated by TD Insurance, was awarded to Nour Hammami by Pierre-Luc Ricard of TD Insurance.
