During the 2014 CES AGM, the Board of Directors committed to consulting CES members regarding access to the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation (CJPE). An on-line survey was distributed to CES members in October and members let us know how they felt about several potential options regarding access to the Journal. This feedback was carefully considered by the Board of Directors and resulted in a vote to amend the way members and non-members access the Journal.
The CJPE will remain open access – available to CES members and non-members. However, the three most recent issues will be reserved for members-only. We see this change as benefiting CES members (by increasing membership benefits) as well as non-members (by making all archived content – currently 28 years of Journal content – freely available).
In the coming months, we hope to make the on-line Journal component even more interactive for members. Stay tuned!
Thank you for weighing in on this important decision. If you are interested in the results of the survey, please email Réanne Kinsella, Chair of Communications and Marketing ([email protected]).
