REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:EVALUATION OF CARIAA research program on climate adaptation in Africa & Asia
More than one billion people live in deltas, semi-arid lands, and glacier- and snowpack-dependent river basins in Africa and Asia. CARIAA is a $70-million research program that builds resilience in these hotspots by supporting collaborative research on climate change adaptation to inform adaptation policy and practice (http://cariaa.net).
As CARIAA enters its final year of operation, the program is commissioning a summative evaluation to examine the quality of research outputs, identify promising program outcomes, and provide advice on the content of future programming. The primary intended users of this evaluation are IDRC and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) as donors, and the four consortia whose work the program supported.
IDRC is accepting proposals during November, for the evaluation to be carried out in the first half of 2018.
