Navigating Artificial Intelligence Tools in Evaluation: research

The CES is glad to support the research conducted by Dr. Jennifer Yessis, PhD CE, Sarah Sousa, PhD(c), Amanda Demmer, PhD(c) CE, and Dr. Kelly Skinner, PhD -- all affiliated to the University of Waterloo.

You are invited to participate in this study, which aims to capture perspectives about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in Evaluation. As these tools become more accessible, evaluators are using these technologies in a variety of different ways. However, little is known about how widely these tools are being adopted or their impact on evaluation practice. The project aims to develop an understanding of how AI is integrated in evaluation work.

We invite you to participate in this study by completing a survey that will take up to 20 minutes to complete and will ask you how you are using AI in evaluation practice and how you feel that it influences evaluation quality. We also plan to explore any concerns that you have about use of AI in evaluation practice.

In appreciation of your time, you will have the opportunity to participate in a draw for $100, $50 and $25 for completing the survey. Names will not be connected to your survey results.

This study has been reviewed and received ethics clearance through a University of Waterloo Research Ethics Board. If you have any questions about the study, contact Jennifer Yessis at jyessis@uwaterloo.ca. Additional information is available in this document.
