Submit your nominations by December 15th for Fellowship of the CES

Dear colleague;

As you know, the Canadian Evaluation Society established its Fellowship several years ago to honour individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the CES and to the broader evaluation community. You are invited to nominate one or more candidates for the Fellowship of the Canadian Evaluation Society. Nominations must be received by 15 December 2009. You may forward your nominations to me by email bsegsworth@laurentian.ca

The criteria for membership in the Fellowship are attached. In order to assist the Advisory Committee it would be most helpful if you would include the following material in support of your nominee:
                  

1. Curriculum vitae of the nominee tailored to the Fellowship criteria;
2. A nomination letter that outlines the reasons why those submitting the nomination believe that the nominee is worthy of such an honour;
3. Individual letters (testimonials) that speak to the specific contributions of the nominee to the evaluation community in Canada and, where appropriate, abroad.

CES Fellowship Candidature

• Prospective Fellows will have achieved prominence in institutional, government, academic and/or international endeavours related to evaluation

• Fellows will be elected on the basis of conspicuous continued involvement in at least three (3) or more of the following for a period of normally not less than 15 years: 
• Support of the interests and welfare of the Canadian Evaluation Society;
• Service to a trade, industry or other professional organisation

related to evaluation;

• Service to community, public or not-for-profit organisations

related to evaluation:

• Promotion of the purposes of the CES;
• Contributions to the profession through research, mentoring, teaching, writing and/or speaking on professional issues;
• Long term service to the National Council of CES and/or to a CES Chapter;
• Fostering links between the CES and other organizations;
• Assisting the CES to meet its resource needs.

          Meeting any or all of these criteria does not entitle anyone to assume the      honour of a CES Fellow, nor does nomination alone guarantee that the        candidate will be successful.
