At the October 20-22, 2000 meeting of the Canadian Evaluation Society's (CES) National Council, the following motion was carried: "National Council of CES supports in principle the creation of an International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE) as set out in the proposal submitted to the EVALPRES listserv on October 10, 2000 by Murray Saunders on behalf of the members of the drafting committee. This support is contingent upon the establishment of resourcing arrangements that are seen by CES as fair and equitable."
