International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation: Planning Underway for Inaugural Assembly

May 2, 2002

The Winter 2002 issue of the CES newsletter  on the global evaluation community provided an update on efforts to create a network of evaluation associations around the world. Since that time, planning has commenced for a small meeting of representatives of evaluation associations to launch the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE).

The vision of the IOCE is to promote cooperation between national and regional evaluation societies, associations or networks. The main purposes of the Inaugural Assembly are to ratify the constitution, organization, and methods of operation of the IOCE and establish an action plan. An update is available for your information at http://www.internationalevaluation.com/ .

Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or suggestions about the IOCE or the Inaugural Assembly.
